Designed around you
What is the idea of human centred design? And how do we turn it into a great product? These were the topics discussed on May 3, 2010, during the workshop "Designing your Environment". The workshop has been organized by the Cluster Constructions of theTIS innovation park to give input on the project L.I.S.A., Living Independently in South Tyrol Alto Adige.
The workshop started with Michael Mehaffy, Thomas Bock and Joseph Giacomin giving an insight into their ideas of a human centred approach to product design and branding strategies. The keynote speeches were followed by a question and answer session with the audience.
The workshop gave impetus to the L.I.S.A. project, sheding light on various aspects of human centred design. Communities, buildings, products - human centred processes are always characterised by the active involvement of users through the planning, design and development.
