Questions and answers
How will a start-up be incubated at TIS?
The incubation’s process passes through several phases. First of all, the prospective venture has to develop its product and set up its business plan, which will be evaluated by the business incubator’s managers. In case of a positive feedback, an external expert will be involved for the development of a financial report. The candidate will then present his project to the administrative board of the TIS innovation park, which will decide on the admission.
How long will it take to become a start-up?
The duration of the affiliation’s phase strongly depends on the candidate’s rapidity to set up the business plan. The process takes normally 2 to 3 months. Considerably less time will be required in case of already drawn up plans.
Will the business incubator compile the business plan for me?
The business incubator supports the candidate in setting up the business plan, but does not compile it. As a general rule, the business incubator evaluates the sustainability of the business plan and gives helpful suggestions on further developments, such as market research and information.
How long can a start-up remain inside the business incubator?
The start-up’s incubation lasts 3 years. After expiry, a 2-years extension can be requested to the administrative board, which will be in charge of the decision.
Are only start-ups eligible for the business incubator?
All start-ups must be recently founded. Nevertheless, spin offs or companies that want to focus on the launch of new products or services can be taken into consideration.
Do I have to pay for facilities and services?
All services are fee-paying. Without renting TIS spaces, start-ups owe a lump sum payment of 1.200 € (+VAT) per year. The leasing of TIS offices costs 12.90 € / month per square meter. The price includes the services.
